Kenai Website Design & Development

A new website for one of Charger Water’s private-label water treatment brands.

  • The Client

    Charger Water Corporate
    Elgin, Illinois

  • The Idea

Charger Water wanted to give its private-label water treatment line, Kenai, its own website to help bolster confidence in the marketplace. The goal was to build a site that was aesthetically beautiful, end-user-focused, resource-rich, and optimized for state-of-the-art SEO and AI extraction.

  • The Target

The design needed to feel welcoming, warm, and safe for residential customers of Charger Water’s dealer network. It also needed to appeal to current and prospective independent dealers and be smart enough for them. Building trust was the top priority, followed closely by AI readability.

  • The Deliverables

    • Website
    • Iconography
    • Content writing optimized for visitor marketing and AI

Concept Design

For this project, budget was a factor. We wanted to offer two strong concepts and get it right on the first pass. After a few conversations with the client, we felt we had a good sense of their style and the look that was appropriate for their industry.

Our Website Creation + Development Process

1. Discovery & strategy

Define the audiences, business goals, primary calls to action, required features, budget, and scope. For a redesign, review the existing website.

2. Site structure & planning

Organize the navigation, decide which pages are needed, and map how visitors move toward contacting, buying, booking, or finding information.

3. Content development

We help with writing and refining page copy, gathering images and supporting materials, and planning headings, internal links, and SEO metadata.

4. Design

Cast the visual direction, then design page layouts for desktop and mobile. Show how content, imagery, and calls to action work together.

5. Development

We are WordPress developers; however, do ask us if you need a website on a different platform. In this phase, we:

  1. Secure the hosting environment
  2. Configure templates, navigation, and forms
  3. Install integrations for visitor consent, SEO, schema markup, site security, accessibility, and necessary functionality.
  4. Build each page with a mobile-first approach

6. Testing & Launch

Review content, mobile layouts, accessibility, performance, links, forms, and SEO settings. Set up redirects, analytics, and backups, then launch and verify the live site.

7. Maintenance & improvement

Keep software up to date, monitor performance and conversions, fix issues, and improve content as your business needs change.
